In an intimate night at Songbyrd DC Wallice closed out the first leg of her tour in support of her new EP Mr. Big Shot. The singer amassing a strong core fan base over the past couple of years has opened for The 1975, as well as played Maryland's own All Things Go festival just last year. The Indie Pop artist is making a name for herself in a quick amount of time. Seeing her on a smaller stage in the district was awesome, featuring a talented complimentary opener in nitefire a good rapport was struck with the crowd leading everyone there to appear as though relaxed and comfortable. Great crowd engagement leading to a mindset beer chug by guitarist Callaghan Kevany, Wallice herself grabbing a cowboy hat from the crowd, and even a cathartic scream along all made the evening quite personal. Wallice has all the seemblings to reach future stardom. We highly advise anyone to check her out next time she stops by your town!
