BARTEES STRANGE
Bartees Strange at Reset Concert Series: Merriweather Post Pavilion, Columbia, MD. 6/16/23.
It had been a few years since the last time I was at Merriweather Post Pavilion and was excited to see the Reset Concert Series that featured a ton of talent. The list of artists included Bartees Strange, Dijon, Clairo, and BoyGenius. Bartees Strange got to start off the night and really set the tone for the day. Being a local Washington DC artist he had a lot of fans in the crowd. He led off the night with the song “Ghostly” and then played “Far” and “Mustang”. The highlight of his set was when he played his hit song “Wretched” which is the perfect live song because the crowd was able to jump up and down at the beat drop. Another great moment was when he paid homage to The National and played “About Today” which had the crowd singing along. Bartees was moving all over the stage coming up to the edge singing out to the fans. Everyone in the band had so much energy and really engaged the audience. It was a great set and really got everyone ready for a great night to come.
