The It’s Complicated tour made its second stop in Houston, and the energy was indescribable. A jam-packed venue of eager fans created an electric atmosphere, singing along in unison to every act and amplifying the night’s vibe.
Opening the show was Ashaunte, an emerging R&B artist making her Houston debut. Her soulful sound and commanding presence immediately won over the crowd, setting a strong foundation for the evening.
Next, Citilimitz took the stage with high energy and smooth choreography, delivering a nostalgic performance complete with solos and classic R&B covers. From Usher medleys to Chris Brown renditions, they had the crowd locked in, especially when they stepped offstage to interact with fans. Ending their set with a stunning acappella number, they left a lasting impression.
Nick LaVelle followed, exuding confidence and charm. Backed by his DJ, Nick captivated the audience with heartfelt moments, including handing out yellow roses and serenading a lucky fan. His standout cover of Summer Walker’s “Heart of a Woman” showcased his vocal range and deeply connected with the crowd. As an independent artist funding his own career, Nick’s passion and hustle were undeniable, building even more excitement for the headliner.
Finally, Trevor Jackson took the stage, greeted by a sea of fans ready to immerse themselves in his performance. Performing hits like “Guy on the Side,” “Right Now,” and “Find Out,” Trevor’s charisma and emotive vocals captivated everyone from start to finish. His acoustic set offered an intimate moment, while his natural showmanship shined during high-energy songs and his well-received cover of “ICU.”
Trevor’s ability to connect was unparalleled—he even paused to lead the audience in affirmations, creating a collective moment of grounding and positivity. His triple-threat talent and artistry solidify his place as a powerhouse in the R&B world.
Having started his career on Broadway before transitioning to television and now touring nationally, Trevor Jackson is an artist without limits who has forged his own path. His quiet confidence and versatility have undoubtedly been key to his enduring success.
