TIM HEIDECKER & THE VERY GOOD BAND
Tim Heidecker & The Very Good Band, Union Transfer, Philadelphia, PA. 2/7/25.
Tim Heidecker made his way back to Philadelphia to his favorite venue; the spaghetti factory. With no opener for the show Tim and his very good band came right onto stage. They came out to “Wells Running Dry”, “Buddy”, and “Trippin” a song written about trying mushrooms. Later in the first set he played “Cleaning Up The Dog Shit” and then decided to play it how The Grateful Dead would play it. After the first set he brought out DJ Dogpound to play a 30 minute set. DJ dogpound did a set of stand up comedy at his DJ table getting big laughs out of the crowd. When Tim came out and gave him a hug he stayed on the set by himself to do some standup mostly going through and trolling YouTube comments. He then got onto the piano and played a classic Tim and Eric song with “Spaghetti Again”. He brought out YouTuber Pat Finnerty and did a George Harrison cover of “Wah Wah” and turned it into a more Philly version with Wawa. A great moment in the show was when he brought out Philly legend Kurt Vile to sing their song “Sirens of Titan”. He played a couple more songs and then thanked Philly but the fans were able to cheer him back to stage where he closed out with a fan favorite of “Hot Piss”.
