LP

LP: Franklin Music Hall, Philadelphia, PA. 11/10/23.

After finding LP’s music years ago I’d always wanted to see them live. When I saw that LP was going to be at Franklin Music Hall it was a no brainer. The opener for the show was Verite an indie pop band from Brooklyn. The singer had great energy moving around the stage and got the crowd into the show right out of the gate. When their set came to an end they received a loud ovation and everyone was very excited for LP to come on next. When it was time for LP to take the stage the speakers started to blast Frank Sinatra’s “My Way” and then the crowd exploded in cheer as LP came out. The band opened up with “Golden”, “Love Song”, and “Burn it Down”. I was shocked by how much energy Laura as well as the rest of the band brought for the entire set. The lead guitarist was running all over the stage and climbing up onto the speakers to play for the audience. The highlight of the set was when they played their hit song “Lost on You” which had everyone in the building singing along. LP closed out their set with “Long Goodbye” and thanked the crowd so the crowd willed them to come back out and play an encore. After playing two more songs they closed out the night with “One Last Time”. It was an amazing night in Philadelphia.
