SHAKEY GRAVES
Shakey Graves: Union Transfer, Philadelphia, PA. 11/12/23.
With Shakey Graves being one of my favorite musicians on the planet I couldn’t be more excited for this show. The opener was Sadurn an indie rock band from Philadelphia that played a full set that got the crowd all warmed up for Shakey Graves. When they came out to an all time hit with “Hard Wired” the crowd was pumped and already singing along from the start. The band brought so much energy straight from the beginning of the set and carried it all the way through the show. Alejandro Rose Garcia had great banter with the crowd and really won over the Philadelphia fans when he shouted “Go Birds” even as a Texas native. After closing out his set with “Look Alive” he waved and thanked the sold out crowd before quickly coming back for an encore to play his three biggest songs (Tomorrow, Roll the Bones, and Dearly Departed) before hitting a huge jump to close out the show. It was an incredible night in Philly!
