DRY REEF/LITTLE STRANGER

Dry Reef and Little Stranger at Ardmore Music Hall.

This was a cool duo show between Philly’s own Dry Reef and a band with Philly roots Little Stranger. I had already known songs from both bands so I was excited to see them perform especially since this show had been pushed back twice because of COVID cancellations. It was a sold out crowd and by the time Dry Reef came on you couldn’t even move around the crowd. They played an incredible set playing “Start it Up” and “Checkpoints” and the crowd loved how much they danced around the stage. After a huge ovation they left the stage and Little Stranger came out to pick up right where they left off. The crowd went nuts when they played “Sunburn” “Coffee and a Joint” and “Trip Around Saturn”. Some highlights of their set is when they had their niece come up to sing “Clint Eastwood” by the Gorillaz, their father come up and sing one of his original songs with them, and their friend came up to rap a song. It was a very original and cool set and everyone left feeling like they’d witnessed something special.
