MT. JOY

Mt. Joy at the Skyline Stage at the Mann Center.

This was the biggest venue I’ve seen Mt. Joy in and it was amazing to see them in such a large venue with an unbelievable turnout. Madison Cunningham opened up the show and had a following of her own so everyone was extremely excited to see her. After a great set it was time for Mt. Joy to take the stage. They came out to the song “Strangers”, “Evergreen”, and “I’m Your Wreck” and had a real orange theme for their new album “Orange Blood”. They played some hits off the new album including “Orange Blood”, “Bathroom Light”, and “Lemon Tree”. They brought a local Philly artist they found online named Julia Pratt to sing “Dirty Love”. They did a cool cover of “Julia” mixed with MGMT’s “Electric Feel” that the crowd loved and was singing along to. They brought a bunch of kids onto the stage at the end of their set and then left the stage to the crowd screaming for more. They came out to play three more songs and closed out their set with an all time favorite of “Astrovan”. It was an incredible show that was even being talked about the next day on the radio.
