BARONESS
Baroness, The Broken Goblet, Bensalem, PA. 6/27/24.
Can’t beat seeing Baroness come through a venue like Broken Goblet Brewing. The opener for the show was Filth Is Eternal, a female led metal band from Seattle that brought amazing energy to their set. The highlight of their set was when the singer came down into the crowd and was singing and moshing along with everyone. After the first opener was Portrayal of Guilt another metal band with a powerful presence. Something cool I noticed about them was that the drummer was center stage and the singer was off on the side of the stage. They had some incredible drum solo’s that kept the audience captivated throughout their entire set. When Baroness came out to the sold out crowd everyone erupted in cheer as they led off their set with “Last Word“. Early into the set the crowd broke into a friendly mosh where everyone was just looking to have a good time. You couldn’t help but be amazed by the presence of the guitarist Gina Gleason who kept coming to the crowd and at one point flipped her guitar upside down and put into the crowd for everyone to touch. They closed out the set with their all time hit “Take My Bones Away”. The band really connected well with the fans and you could tell everyone there was thrilled to be in attendance. It was an awesome night in Bensalem PA.
