SUBLIME WITH ROME
Sublime With Rome, The Stone Pony, Asbury Park, NJ. 8/25/24.
On August 25, 2024, Sublime with Rome delivered an electrifying performance at the Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park, NJ, for a sold-out show that united generations of fans! The crowd, consisting of longtime Sublime followers and newer listeners, packed the venue to witness the band’s mix of nostalgic hits and fresh material.
Though original members Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh were absent, Joe Tomino on drums and Brian Allen on bass seamlessly stepped in, adding their dynamic to the performance. Joe Tomino's rhythmic drumming and Brian Allen's smooth bass grooves locked in with Rome Ramirez’s captivating vocals and guitar, creating a tight and cohesive sound that brought both nostalgia and something fresh to the night.
The evening felt like a celebration, with classic tracks like "Santeria" and "What I Got" sparking sing-alongs that echoed through the summer night. Rome's captivating presence on stage kept the crowd hooked, reaffirming why Sublime with Rome continues to thrive. Their performance proved they can honor the legacy of Sublime, while still carving out their own space in today’s music scene.
As the final Summer Stage show of August 2024, it was the perfect way to close out the month, leaving fans of all ages with unforgettable memories of a night filled with timeless music, energy, and a connection that transcends generations!
