Shame

Shame at Union Transfer, Philadelphia, PA. 5/13/23.

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! To say Shame took over Union Transfer would be an understatement. This 5 piece band from South London played their new album ‘Food for Worms’ and absolutely killed it! Although the energy is exactly what we needed the lyrics and music hit hard. Their song “Adderall” touches the audience in a deep way. We all know someone who has slipped away from addiction and this song describes the pain and loss in such a strong and forceful way having a warm feeling throughout the venue. The energy they showed on stage was something you don’t get to see often, they make you feel like you are part of the music and connected with the energy poured out of each and every artist. You feel at peace but also disarray, as if you were growing up with them throughout the show.

Something that stood out was the exhaustion but then relief you would feel throughout the night. The best way to describe the show was feeling the ups and downs in life. The weakness but finding the strength to fight through. Charlie Steen Starts the show with the lyrics “You’re complaining a lot about the things that you’ve got,” having the audience fully intrigued from the beginning to the end. The concert was a 10/10. Shame out-did themselves and is a must see. Buckle up for an insane rollercoaster.
