Snacktime/Portugal. the Man: Fox Theater, Pomona, CA. 2/3/24.
When Portugal. The Man announced a tour with Philly favorites, Snacktime, I knew I had to make it happen. Snacktime got the crowd on their feet with the opening set, playing classics as well as their newly released singles, bringing their mix of Philly dance & funk to southern California. Even though they left the stage to make way for Portugal. The Man, they ultimately sat in for most of the headliners set. Pre-set, Portugal brought out members of indigenous tribes, who led the crowd in song & chants. The band then took the stage and ripped into a 25-song set, building up the energy with a solid set of visuals and heavy cloud smoke. Fan favorites "People Say" And "Feel it Still" were towards the end, resulting in a nearly sold-out crowd singing along at full volume.
