New West, The Underground, Charlotte, NC. 6/7/24.
The New West concert was a refreshing blend of indie folk and Americana vibes. The atmosphere was intimate yet buzzing with anticipation as the audience settled in for what would unfold as a captivating musical journey waiting for X Ambassadors. New West took the stage with a humble demeanor, yet their presence was immediately felt. Kala Wita, the lead singer, had full control of the stage. He was on the right side, the left side, the middle, in the crowd, and anywhere else you could think of interacting with the audience. Their music resonated with a raw authenticity that is often hard to find in today's music scene. Their harmonies were tight, especially during their acoustic sets. You could feel the connection between the band and the audience. Overall, it was a laid-back yet energetic evening filled with great music and good vibes.
