CHANCE PENA
Chance Pena: Theater of the Living Arts, Philadelphia, PA. 9/10/23.
With a show of both Chance Pena and David Kushner it felt like the crowd was getting to see two headlining acts. You could tell the crowd was there to see both acts because there was a line down the street before the doors opened at 7. By the time the show started it was fully packed to the back of the TLA. When Chance came out the crowd erupted in cheer and continued that energy throughout his entire set. He played several of his hits like “Cruel World” and “Sleep Deprivation” and even had a cover of Kid Cudi’s “Pursuit of Happiness.” The highlight of the set is when he went into some backstory before a song and it turned out to be his all time hit song “In My Room” which the audience was singing along to the entire time. He thanked Philly and everyone wished he could have played even longer.
