BROOKS NIELSEN

It’s been too long since the Growlers have come to Philadelphia so to see frontman Brooks Nielsen doing a tour I knew I had to go to this show. This tour was to mark the 10 year anniversary of Chinese Fountain a legendary album that took the whole indie scene by storm. With no opener for the show it was going to be all Broosky and his band. He came out to the stage and instantly started with his patented Brooks Nielsen dance moves that continued for the whole duration of the show. The band played more than just Chinese Fountain they seemed to play anything and everything from the “Growlers” catalog even hearing someone shout out a song and then played it right after. The crowd went nuts at “Chinese Fountain”, “Love Test”, and “Night Ride” all of the bands biggest songs. Brooks closed out with my all time favorite song “I’ll be Around” which was an incredible surprise for the Philadelphia crowd.
