MO LOWDA + THE HUMBLE
Mo Lowda + The Humble at Johnny Brenda’s Philadelphia, PA. 3/23/23 and 3/24/23.
Night 1: Walking up the steps to the show read a sign “SOLD OUT”, which is not surprising. A moment that stuck out was when Jordan sang “KYA” having the entire room mesmerized feeling like we were all underwater. It was absolutely an unreal show and the best part was knowing we got to catch their concert the next night.
Night 2: Mo Lowda shows are always the easiest shows to talk about because there are always so many memorable moments that stick out. On their second sold out night in a row the stage was set with a diver helmet sitting on a chair to set up a dark ocean feel and also a blacklight banner behind them of the diver. One highlight of the show for me was when during the pause of Coast is Waiting the Jordan brought up how crazy the Princeton basketball March Madness run was and then mid sentence he snapped right back into the music which cracked everybody up. They played the hits “O.O.Y.O.” and “Beachtown” off the new album and it was amazing to see in a venue like Johnny Brenda’s. They brought Illiterate Light up for the last song and had everybody jamming on stage. It was the perfect ending to two incredible nights at Johnny Brenda’s.
