ILLITERATE LIGHT

Illiterate Light at Johnny Brenda’s Philadelphia, PA. 3/23/23 and 3/24/23.

Night 1: Illiterate Light started night with an awesome performance. These two really know how to take over the stage in the best way possible. They played their new single “Luckiest Man Alive” giving the crowd something to talk about. Such an rememarable performance.

Night 2: Having an opener like Illiterate Light is always a great night because the last time I had seen them at Johnny Brenda’s they were headlining. They always put on a wild show whether they are generating energy to power their sets or climbing on speakers you know you’re in for something. Early in the set the drummer was climbing on top of his drum set playing down to it and pointing his drumsticks at the crowd. Shortly after this he took his beer and walked along the narrow front of the stage staring into the crowd getting them excited. They played my favorite of their songs “Better Than I Used To” and then their amazing live song of “Vampire Blues” which is around 8 minutes with several hard guitar riffs and drum parts.
