THE BLACK PUMAS
The Black Pumas, Riverfront Park, Harrisburg, PA. 7/26/24.
After seeing Vacations amazing show at Union Transfer last year I couldn’t wait to see them again this year. The first opener for the show was Alex Lahey, an Australian Alternative artist that played a great acoustic set that got the Philly crowd moving early on in the night. The second opener for the show was Lunar Vacation, an indie rock band from Atlanta, Georgia. With a cool and calm vibe they kept the crowd swaying along and definitely made some new fans in Philly. When Vacations came out the crowd erupted in cheer, they instantly were rocking all over the stage and the audience was jumping up and down. They had great banter with the crowd saying they loved the Phillies and the Eagles and how they were going to attend their first Phillies game the next day. They made sure to play all of their hits even playing “Young” earlier in their set than people were expecting, which got everyone singing along or recording it on their phones. After a quick encore they came out to play two more songs before thanking Philadelphia for an incredible night.
