BAHAMAS
Bahamas: Union Transfer, Philadelphia, PA. 10/18/23.
It’s always a pleasure to see a Bahamas show because of his cool demeanor and great songwriting. The last time I saw Bahamas in Philadelphia it was a solo show so I was excited to see him bring his band to Philly. The show opened up with Fortunate Ones a folk duo from Newfoundland Canada. They had some fun songs that got the crowd warmed up for the show with a similar vibe to Bahamas. When the band took the stage the crowd erupted in cheer you could tell there were a lot of die hard Bahamas fans in the crowd. The backing band definitely made it for a different show than the previous time I’d seen him because it brought the songs to life and got everyone in the audience dancing. Some of the highlights from the show were when he played “Trick to Being Happy” as well as “Lost in the Light” which had the entire crowd singing along with him. I definitely look forward to seeing Bahamas any time they come to town!
