THE STRUMBELLAS
The Strumbellas, World Cafe Live, Philadelphia, PA. 4/4/24.
The Strumbellas have been one of my favorite bands for many years to see them finally coming back to Philadelphia was a can’t miss show. Philadelphia getting their first night of the tour felt like a real treat because we knew we’d get a ton of energy from the band. The show opened up with Certainly So a Nashville based indie rock band that really captivated the audience. They played some old songs and some songs off their new album and definitely made some new fans in Philadelphia. When the Strumbellas came out each member climbed up on the riser one at a time to a huge ovation. The lights throughout the show were some of the coolest light set ups I’ve seen at World Cafe Live. The set list was a good mix of new and old making sure to hit some of their old hits like “Young and Wild”, “Shovels and Dirt”, and closing with their all time hit of “Spirits” in which the entire band came together and jammed out the finish of the show.
