QUARTERS OF CHANGE/GRAYSCALE
Quarters of Change/Grayscale, Fillmore, Philadelphia, PA. 12/21/24.
Grayscale’s “The Hart” album release show in Philadelphia was a complete success. Opening the show was Quarters of Change, an alternative rock band from New York City. Quarters of Change also released their album “Portraits” this year which they spent touring as well as attending festivals such as Shaky Knees, Lollapalooza and Governor’s Ball. They played a great set with their singer Ben Roter carrying his microphone all over stage. They played their hits such as “Cherry Tree”, “Kiwi”, and “Tightrope” to make sure all the Philly fans had a great night and converted some new fans as well. By the time the local legends Grayscale took the stage the venue was completely full. They started the show by playing their whole new album and the crowd matched the bands energy by crowd surfing all the way from the very first song. After closing out the new album with Mum II a song they said was very special to them the band began playing the hits section of the show. They led off with “Dirty Bombs” which sent a sea of crowd surfers to the front of the venue. Soon after they played their all time hit “Painkiller Weather” that got everyone jumping up and down. The highlight of the set was when the band did a cover of Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ On A Prayer” which will always be welcome in Philadelphia. They closed out the night with “Not Afraid To Die” and then thanked Philadelphia for an incredible album release show.
