DOGS IN A PILE

Dogs In A Pile, Steel Stacks, Bethlehem, PA. 4/3/25.

The gloomy, overcast April weather didn’t deter the Lehigh Valley jam crowd from coming out to enjoy a night of dancy jams and grooves from Dogs In A Pile, supported by Harrisburg’s own Yam Yam. The Asbury Park-based band coined the night “Water Dogs,” a part of their elemental-themed tour, with unique posters made for each of the themed shows. The towering remains of the late Bethlehem Steel factory served as the backdrop as locals Yam Yam dished up some tasty funk, soul, and jazz infused jams to start the night.

Dogs came out and played some crowd favorites, along with some surprise covers, getting the dance floor moving and grooving. Serving up large plates of noodles on noodles, the band put their talents on full display, crossing every genre barrier you can think of to give the crowd an eclectic night of tunes. The group busted out some covers, such as the Dead’s “Dupree Diamond Blues,” and ending the night by playing the Beatles’ “Drive My Car” to wrap up their encore. Be sure to catch them on tour this Spring.
