DENZEL CURRY
Denzel Curry, Franklin Music Hall, Philadelphia, PA 4/18/25.
Ever since I first saw Denzel Curry’s Like A Version performance of “Bulls On Parade” I’ve been a huge fan of his music. Seeing that he was coming to Franklin Music Hall I knew I had to be there. The first opener was CLIP, an NYC rapper who got the crowd going right from the start. After CLIP was psychedelic rapper 454, who mixes metal and rap together for a very unique sound. When the final opener Kenny Mason came out, he got a huge ovation and a full room of flashlights. Right from the start of his set he was all over the stage and really connected with the crowd having everyone singing back every word. His energy definitely got the crowd warmed up for the legendary Denzel Curry. Denzel came out to “Act A Damn Fool” and right from the start of the set Denzel was jumping all over the stage and even came down onto the platform singing right into the crowd. The mosh pits started early in his set and people were bouncing up and down throughout the whole show. Early in his set he played crowd favorite “Walkin” and asked everyone to sing along. He brought Kenny Mason back out to sing “Sked” with him and then two songs later brought out 454 to sing “Anotha Late Night”. After ending his set with “Clout Cobain” he encored to play his usual closing song of “JPEGULTRA!” the perfect song to end the night.
