Listening to any of the albums by Circles Around The Sun, it's easy to recognize these guys would put on a great live show. Touring in support of their fourth studio album, Language, which was released in April 2023, and the first without their late guitarist Neal Casal, the group brought their signature groovy, psychedelic rock, disco-funk vibes to the Ardmore Music Hall. They didn't disappoint, as they played for a sold out crowd, pulling out many new and old tracks to get every person in the building dancing and moving. The group is also touring with harpist Mikaela Davis, who also joined CATS on Language and will be co-releasing a 4-song EP entitled After Sunrise in April 2024. Davis opened the night with her band Southern Star, then joined CATS for the encore song, the title track from Language, for which she also plays harp on the album.
